Oil painting on plastic figures?
Hello! I recently purchased cell phone charms and decided to paint a little encouragement, so I painted with oil paint (I know this may not have been the best choice for painting animates these plastic figures, but I would not use acrylic.) Now I wonder, how long does it take in total dry? I know that oil paint takes a long time to dry, and since I painted plastic, I feel it will take more time. I'm not very experienced with these paintings. Also, if I wanted to dilute the paint (with something that could easily get in my house) that I use? It is clear that the water often mix well with oil paintings. Thank you for the help!
Oil plastic should never be used first place. It is for this purpose. But it is acrylic and can be removed oil paint and start over if you want. Use paint thinner or turpentine to remove oil paint and clean the surface and allow to dry and start painting with acrylics are correct.
